Stoat (mustela erminea)

These hyperactive members of the mustelid family are not often seen. When they are it is usually for only a brief glimpse at full speed. I was fortunate that this individual stopped for a second in front of a public hide at the Widfowl and Wetland centre at Martin Mere.
